Storage and Handling:

Store <125°F, out of direct sunlight, Avoid prolong storage.

1. Unique characteristics - thermally unstable & active bonding
2.  Incompatible with acids, bases, metals, ions, heat, radiation, etc.
3.  When contacted with above mentioned Incompatibles it..

            i) Decomposes with explosive violence

            ii) Accumulates heat via self-accelerating decomposition & polymerization

            iii) Releases toxic gases and initiates uncontrolled runaway reactions

            iv) Causes fire and explosion

4. All strengths of CHP are highly inflammable.
5. Storage under ambient environment for prolonged period causes onset of hidden autocatalytic reaction 
6. Initiates significant thermal runaway reaction when exposed to high temperature environment.
7. Autocatalytic decomposition takes place with Temperature rise rate, (dT/dt) > 1

APPLICATIONS:

CUMENE HYDROPEROXIDE is used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical intermediates, adhesives, speciality organic peroxides and also in polymerization reactions for certain styrene based polymers
