Application
  • FUMARIC ACID finds application similar to Maleic acid, with additional advantages like non-toxicity, less corrosiveness. It gives derivatives which are superior to those  of Maleic Acid.
  • FUMARIC ACID gives higher heat resistance to unsaturated polyester. it also gives a resin comparable to that of epoxy resin when reacted with Bis Phenol - A unsaturated polyester.
  • FUMARIC ACID when used in Alkyd resin, imparts better hardness, colour retention, alkali & water resistance to paint and varnish film.
  • FUMARIC ACID forms versatile esters with Butanol and 2-Ethyl Hexanol which finds excellent use as in internal plasticizer for PVA resins. Fumaric Acid & Solution Sulphite Adduct finds use as a wetting agent in textile, plastics and pharmaceutical industries.
  • FUMARIC ACID finds application in the manufacture of resins which are suitable for use in printing ink, wood and paper varnish.
  • FUMARIC ACID is a raw material for manufacture of Succinic Acid, Ferrous Fumarate, Insecticides, Fungicides etc.
